We are delighted to be working with Crowdys Hill School in Swindon as an Art on Tour partner school!
Recently, pupils and staff enjoyed taking part in a visit from Mr Bomford’s Travelling Imaginarium, our pop-up gallery with a difference!
‘My Window, My View’ Project:
During Lockdown, pupils also took part in a ‘My Window, My View’ challenge, taking inspiration from the ‘Through the Window’ exhibition of artworks currently at STEAM Museum, and from other works in the Swindon Collection that feature windows. We were honoured to judge the competition, choosing 20 winners to have their artworks transformed into giant banners for the school playground.
Artworks by the 20 winners and 20 runners-up are on display at STEAM Museum from Wednesday 28 July until Tuesday 31st August. The exhibition is free to visit in the Hawksworth Hall at STEAM, along with the ‘Through the Window’ exhibition that inspired pupils’ work. You do not need to visit the Museum itself, but bear in mind that children can visit STEAM for just £1 this summer! And the Museum is next to the Designer Outlet Centre, so you can make the exhibition part of a full day out!
