The free, downloadable resources below are designed to help teachers, parents, and other educators bring learning to life through Art. This wide range of teacher toolkits and learning resources provide practical suggestions for developing children’s visual literacy and creative skills. Created by experienced teachers, they can be easily adapted for children of all ages and abilities, from Early Years to GCSE. The focus is on using artworks as a springboard to learning across the Curriculum. We are always interested in feedback to help us develop our resources.
This Library is part of the wider ‘Art on Tour’ schools outreach project. This 2020 project aims to use the Swindon Collection of Modern British Art to change the way students and schools experience and engage with Art. The project originally offered Swindon schools a visit from our immersive pop-up gallery, alongside cross-curricular workshops and CPD staff training. We hope to re-establish this element of the project later in the year. This programme is FREE to schools as a result of support from Swindon Borough Council.
